Nova Peris is a celebrated Indigenous Australian athlete, Olympian and former politician who is well known for her historic achievements including being the first Indigenous Australian to win an Olympic gold medal in hockey.

She is also a passionate advocate for the Jewish people and Israel, using her platform to fight for justice and truth, highlighting the shared struggles of both the Indigenous and Jewish communities.

Collaborating with designer Hagit Ashual, she created an artwork that combined her spiritual deities together with the Jewish Magen David, symbolising hope and unity.

Following the October 7 massacre, Nova wore this as a t-shirt design while visiting Israel. This deeply thoughtful act of solidarity was warmly received.

Nova has offered this artwork as a gift to the jewish community, encouraging them to use it for t-shirts or displays, and extends her warm wishes to her Jewish brothers and sisters.

Proceeds from the sales of this item will be going to the Ha Gal Sheli in Tel Aviv, Israel. This is a charity Nova met with who are working on the rehabilitation of victims of the October 7 attack.
